Hi Doctor

My sister and brother in law staying is with us have tested positive on the recent RTPCR report. Myself, my father Mother have given RTPCR test and waiting for report and have self quarentined.

She is carrying and with a due date this week and consulting with her doctor with guidance.

Last night my brother in law had a temperature of 101 and he is with my sister in the same room.

1. Should I separate them and quarantine them separately?
2. I have no symptoms of fever or cold at the moment, however should I still have medicines ?
3. Tried Rapid Antigen test for my parents and me which shows positive ?
4.My brother in law is having Dolo 650 and azithromycin ? Is that sufficient to treat the flu?
5. My mom is diabetic who had headache and is fine after having a Dolo650 2 days back. Dad is having cold as has a pre existing condition of cold most of the time.

Hi thanks for posting your query on Ask a doctor service.

As both your sister and brother in law are positive, they can stay together. You can also get the confirmation from the treating gynecologist of your sister.
1. No need according to me.
2. Please wait for the RTPCR test if it is positive, then we can go accordingly.
3. Even if Rapid antigen test is positive and as there no symptoms no treatment is required as of now. Please review with RTPCR test result.
4. As of now they are sufficient. If he has cold and cough, he can also start with Montek LC once a day after food at bed time.
5. Your father can also start with Montek LC once a day after food at bedtime.

Also everyone can start with Zincovit once a day after breakfast for 15 days.

I would like to know have you all taken both doses of Covid Vaccine?

Also avoid cold, frozen foods.
Drink warm water.

Hope I have answered your query.
Please feel free to reach for any more questions.

Thanks,
Dr. Saisudha.
