Question: Currently during her physical examination by doctor in Sep'2018, Thyroid enlargement was noticed and was advised, Ultrasound of Thyroid gland and then Scan and then FNAC. FNAC is suggestive of Follicular Neoplasma on left side of Thyroid gland. I am not sure what is the best way forward in this case and seek your guidance.

Brief Answer:
Hello. Surgery is advisable

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the reports. So it is a localised disease and hemi thyroidectomy is required. Depending upon the surgery results, further action should be taken inthe form of complete removal of thyroid and radioactive iodine therapy if required.
Cure rate is very high. There is nothing to worry.
Thanks and regards

Thank you Doctor for your quick response.
Is there any threat with the surgery to her life, will there be any impact on her normal day to day life due to removal of the gland in future ?
Also, if I may ask, the surgery needs to be done by a General Surgeon who normally does surgeries that includes thyroid surgeries as well or it needs to be done an ENT surgeon. I am confused on this aspect and not able to decide on the surgeon.
Thank you in advance for your help and guidance.
