I have been diagnosed with a type T1C tumor with a XXXXXXX rating of 3+3 and a PSA level of 4.9. I am gathering information to make a decision as to what type of treatment to follow. My urologists suggested a radiation oncologist who I have interviewed. I wish to get positive and negative information including the long term remission or cure rate for other procedures .

Brief Answer:
Hello, you seem to have a low-risk tumour

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear.
I have gone through the details.

So as per your details, you have a low-grade tumour. In such cases, we offer two approaches, either, watchful surveillance as it will be a slow growing tumour and you can enjoy your quality of life or radiation therapy. Both approaches are feasible and justified.

If you have other comorbidities like cardiac or any other chronic illness, I will advise surveillance. If you don't and are healthy with good performance status, radiation therapy is justified.

Survival by both approaches is excellent as you will never succumb to prostate cancer in either way.

Thanks and regards
