I Recently Had A Sexual Experience With A New Partner

default
Posted on Wed, 14 Nov 2018
Question: I recently had a sexual experience with a new partner and I believe I contracted epididymitus, chlamydia, or something equivalent. This happened to me years ago but was healed quickly. I was prescribed Ciprofloxacin by an online doctor 4 days ago and it doesn't seem to be helping. I have no discharge, don't have severe pain, but I do have swelling around my groin area and discomfort almost constantly. I believe I need something else prescribed after ready about the Cipro and it not working. I cannot see a doctor at this time and need to know how and what I should use.

Brief Answer:
Need a laboratory work up also.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. You need to get a swab test for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Swabs can be taken from urethra. Better to do all STD panel test.
Is there more persistent swelling and redness in your testicles or groin area?
If yes then Intravenous ceftriaxone is the best choice.
Otherwise I would suggest 5 days azithromycin and 7 days doxycycline 100mg twice daily in such case.
Taking analgesics like Ibuprofen or diclofenac and Serratiopeptidase will be helpful to reduce pain swelling if present.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
