Brief Answer:
Deconestant drops - steam inhalations.

Detailed Answer:
HI.
Thanks for your query.
I can understand your concern.
This is a bit tricky thing as your daughter is 5 months pregnant hence Her Doctor would be a bit reluctant to give more medicines.

Since the sinus headache can be more troublesome than the medicines, we have to give her additional treatment along with an antihistamine.

I would suggest her the following taking into consideration the 5 months pregnancy- hopefully this should help Her.
First of all give her decongestant nasal drops, to be instill into each nostril in a lying down position and then ask her to take steam inhalations of plain water ( without any vaporub, as they are known to cause a rebound phenomenon).

If this solves her problem ask her to continue the same 3 to 4 times in a day.
If the problem persists, I would not hesitate to add pregnancy-safe medicines
like Cefixime as an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory medicine like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen as headache has to be controlled.

To continue Claritin or Allegra, whichever suits her to more decongestant effect without much sedation.
Bed-rest till the problem is solved.
To keep away from such things that can cause more congestion like temperature changes, too hot or too cold foods and beverages, dust, fumes and anything which you all know can increase the problems.
Reassurance is very important, it helps healing touch.

There are few more medicines which your Doctor is definitely aware of as very safe in 2 nd ( 4 to 6 months ) trimester of pregnancy. Do not hesitate to add any more if be necessary.

I hope this should help your Daughter to get an instant and long lasting relief too.
