First Diagnosed With Sinus Infection Mid August.Zythromac At That Time
Question: first diagnosed with sinus infection mid August.Zythromac at that time I have a lot of sinus pain and prssure returned August 31 with intenese sinus pain put on 2 week of Amxixillin and 5 days of oral steroids then returned 3 days later diagnosed with seasonal asthma( 2 weeks ago) breathing threatment and steroid shot I have steroid inhaler antibiotics nasal spray..still have shortness of breath and heavy feeling in chest, low body temp 96.6 tingling hands and feet..no medical history of any problems other then hypo thyroid, dry cough fataigue

Hi,
From what I understand you had repeated sinus infections that were treated with antibiotics. You developed shortness of breath, dry cough and fatiguability after the third episode of sinus infection; the breathlessness is attributed to asthma.
In my opinion, the symptoms of dry cough and breathlessness may also be attributed to post infectious bronchiltis worsening preexisting asthma. In my clinical practice I see post infectious bronchitis very often. It takes a week or two to resolve. I would add an antitussive syrup containing dextromethorphan to your existing treatment. This should ease the cough and heaviness to certain extent.
If symptoms don't get better or if you feel breathing difficulties worsening, you may require nebulization for a few days along with oral antibiotics. A chest X-ray is also entailed.
