How Long Does It Take For Ulcerative Esophagitis To Cure In A Child?
My son has been diagnosed with sever ulcerative esophagitis. He has been unable to eat without sever pain for more then a week. He has been prescribed meds to numb his throat to eat and anti biotics. My question is what is the length of time it usually takes to heal to a point where he hasn t got pain?

In most cases, symptoms begin to improve within a few days of starting the right treatment. But it can take weeks for symptoms to go away completely. Esophagitis from an infection may be harder to cure if the immune system is severely weakened.
