How To Reduce Pain And Itchiness In Leg?

My boyfriend said he was feeling pain in his leg. He got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, when he looked at his leg, his veins were very branchy and blue. He started to feel lightheaded. He tried to make it to his bed and he fainted. When he fainted he hit his head on the side of the bed post and now he is bleeding with a gash on his head. He says his leg feels itchy and he feels very weak and cant get up. What do i do? Is it okay for him to go to sleep?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The vitals are not stable, please call an ambulance and rush to the emergency room. Until then, stop the bleeding by applying pressure on it, head low position, count the breathing, see chest movements. Apply pressure in between the eyes and nose burrows. There are differential diagnoses:
1. Injury
2. Insect bite
3. Parasitic infections
4. Thrombus
5. Varicose vein

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
