Is Having Sex After A Puppy Scratch Safe?
Hi Dr. Konekar,is it okay to have sex with my wife after getting scratched by the teeth of a 9 week old puppy (chowchow) no anti rabies shot yet for the dog as it is still a puppy. but I already taken 3 shots of PVRV and 1 shot of ERIG waiting for my last shot of pvrv this end of the month.

Rabies will not be transmitted while having sex. In your case you are bitten by a puppy and if possible observe that puppy for 10 days, if it wont develop any symptoms of rabies then you no need to worry and you have also taken proper vaccination for rabies including equine rabies immunoglobulin (ERIG).
So dont worry, sex after a dog bite will harm your wife.
