Pain In Ribs, Painful Breathing, Pulling Pain. What Is It?

HI I m a 17 year old female & yesterday morning I noticed a pain in/ on my ribs on the right side it feels like someone is pulling on them... It hurts really bad when im sitting down, sneeze , move a certain way our if I breathe in to deep... It also sends a pain to my chest ... Do you know what it could be or how I can get rid of it..?

Hello.

It sounds like it's either inflammation of the lining around the lungs (pleurisy) or it could be a pulled muscle or spasm. I presume there hasn't been any kind of trauma or recent respiratory infections.... if that is the case...you should have a chest x ray just to make sure there isn't anything else going on in the chest.
