Slightly Bright Patch In The Middle Of The Back Different From The Skin Tone, No Itching Or Numbness. What Could It Be?

Hello, I am a fair caramel complexed black young woman that noticed on my back theres one area in the middle of my back that is slightly bright in color in a patch form it doesnt itch or anything but just wondered why the color is a bit different, I also have the same color on my lower stomach and wondering what this may be called Thanks Cam

Thanks for the query,

You might have developed a P. versicolor infection,

It is a fungal infection,

It usually remains asymptomatic, and presents only as a discoloration of skin.

Please get a KOH mount done,

This can confirm the fungal etiology.

Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
