What Causes Heart Palpitations And Tiredness Upon Slight Physical Activity?

i am an athlete and would say I m in okay shape. when I run to first base during baseball after I am there I m not always gassed or tired but usually am and my heart beats very fast and hard to the point of me being able to take notice and it sometimes hurts. It bothers me when I do crunches and also beats very hard after straining to lift weights. I am just nervous and wondering if I may should go to the doctor if this is abnormal?

Hi,

Once go for stress echo, and also a PFT this will rule out all severity then you may continue your sports and some breathing exercises like sky is helpful too.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
