What Does A Suspicious Infiltrate In The Left Upper Lobe Mean When I Am Asked To Do An Apico-lordotic View?
Hi. I just got my x-ray result and it says there is a suspicious infiltrate in the left upper lobe. What does it mean? And they advised me to do an apicolordotic view for further evaluation. Heart is not enlarge, diaphragm, sulci and bony thorax are intact

It is always preferred to have a apico-lordotic view of XRAY chest, if there are suspicious area of activities like infiltrations or opacities in the apical area of lungs. It gives a clear view of the apical area, which might have been obscured by overlying soft tissue, upper ribs or ribs etc.
