Hello,

Get Imaging tests done and get clinically assessed and evaluated by an orthopedist. Greater tuberosity fractures is often associated with partial-thickness rotator cuff tears and labral tears. Such trauma cause persistent pain even after fracture healing. If there is avulsion fractures of the humeral greater tuberosity, it will be treated by screw fixation, plate fixation, suture anchor fixation.

Non -displaced fractures are treated non-surgically. It may take about 10 weeks to heal completely. sometimes, mobility may take a longer time to return back to normal. Stiffness may persist for long. You will be treated by medicines like NSAIDs, antibiotics to prevent infection or will be recommended surgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
