Tongue Folliate Papillae Both Sides Swollen With Bigger Bump

Question: I have my toungue folliate papillae both sides swollen, but there is a bigger bump on only one side of toungue. Nothing hurts, nor it bothers me to eat or talk. It seems like there is like white stuff inside.

Sharp molars are one possible cause of hypertrophied foliate papillae. Enlargement of the foliate papillae and hypertrophy of the lingual lymphoid follicles are the results of coconstant friction over the sides of the tongue caused by tartar, rough and sharp molar teeth.

Rest assured! I do not think it is scary. To identify the source of the trigger and treat it appropriately, a dental examination is a good first step.

But is it normal that the biggest one shown on picture has like white creamy liquid inside? Is located like in the palatoglossal arch

Is in the same image I sent prior. Could it be a lymphoepithelial cyst? You can clearly see it in photos I sent.

After carefully reviewing the images, I can confirm that what you see is actually slightly enlarged foliate papillae. When the papillae grind against the molar tooth or when you drink too much hot liquids or coffee, they swell. I do not perceive any other significant problems in that domain aside from that.

For a molar evaluation, tartar removal, or to have any sharp edges smoothed, see your dentist or oral hygienist. Keep away from anything coffee/tea, fizzy drinks, or excessive amounts of caffeine.
